En attendant, très prochainement, un compte-rendu de la Knesset Party d’hier soir (les bonnes choses se savourent longtemps), quelques mots du Superwahltag de dimanche outre-Rhin. Rien ne dit, comme l’a affirmé la presse, le «succès de la méthode Merkel». Il y a plutôt une frappante stabilité, chacun des deux grands partis campant sur et renforçant ses positions. Seul réel bouleversement, la coalition noir-jaune (CDU/Libéraux), en Saxe-Anhalt, n’a plus de majorité à la diète régionale et devrait laisser la place à une «grande coalition». De ce fait, le FDP devrait perdre quelques sièges au Conseil fédéral, la chambre haute, ce qui y donnerait au gouvernement fédéral l’utile majorité de 2/3.

While waiting for the upcoming report on yesternight’s Knesset Party (good things are to be savored at length), a few words about the Superwahltag of sunday, in Germany. Nothing expresses, as stated by the media, the “success of the Merkel method”. There’s rather a striking stability: each of the two big parties keeps and reinforces its positions. The only semi-major disruption is that the black-yellow coalition of CDU and Liberals in Saxony-Anhalt has no majority anymore in the regional diet and should make place for a “great coalition”. Thence, FDP should lose a few seats in the Federal Council (the upper house), which would leave the federal government with the useful 2/3 majority there.
