«J’suis dans un état proche de l’Ohio». Les Démocrates gagnent sans ambiguïté la Chambre, avec une marge nette de sièges. Sur le Sénat, CNN joue avec mes nerfs: 4 sièges déjà pris sur les 6 nécessaires pour que les Démocrates remportent la majorité (mais en comptant Joe Lieberman, qui s’est présenté en indépendant, et a conservé son siège dans le Connecticut), et sur les deux restant à attribuer,
- le candidat raciste républicain — qui a qualifié son jardinier de «petit Guatémaltèque» — vient de demander un recompte dans le Montana (ça ne vous rappelle rien),
- le candidat raciste républicain Allen en Virginie (celui qui a appelé son espion démocrate attitré, d’origine indienne, «maquaque») est mené mais de bien peu.
C’est haletant.

I’m in a state too close from Ohio (to call). Democrats win inambiguously in the House with a clear margin. On the Senate, CNN plays with my nerves: the Democrats have taken hold of 4 of the 6 seats they need to have a majority (but that’s including the “Independent” seat of Joe Lieberman from Connecticut), and on the two still to be allocated:
- the racist Republican candidate in Montana (the one who called his gardener “a little Guatemalan”) asked for a recount (does this strike something in your mind?),
- the racist Republican candidate in Virginia, Allen (the one who called his official Dem’ spy, of Indian origin, “macaca”), is led by a string.
It’s breathtaking.
