Pendant que je garnissais des pizzas, la République tchèque devenait le nouvel Ohio: c’est une véritable chambre introuvable qui a été élue, puisque ex- (?) et future (??) majorités ont 100 sièges chacun. La campagne a marqué une Clearstreamisation de la vie politique tchèque: accusations de corruption, de magouilles policières, de mariages d’intérêt, bref, c’est «Dallas» sans les brushings.
Au final, on trouve donc:
- à gauche, les sociaux-démocrates sortants et le PC non-réformé, juste relooké (cf. le logo «temps des cerises» très chevènemento /PC luxembourgeois), dont le CSSD veut faire son allié. Les communistes ont largement régressé, alors qu’il tablait sur l’abstention pour confirmer leur position de force — les grands partis ont été entendus dans leur appel à voter.
- à droite, les conservateurs ODS du président Klaus (dans le logo, encore et toujours l’influence de la CDU et les vols d’oiseaux chers à la droite), l’alliance des libéraux europhiles et gay-friendly d’Unie et chrétiens-libéraux du KDU/CSL (partenaires, dans la coalition sortante, des soc-dém), et les Verts qui font une entrée moins triomphante qu’espéré à la Chambre, et auraient aimé faire l’appoint.

While I was garnishing pizzas, the Czech Republic was becoming the new Ohio: it’s truly a chambre introuvable that got elected, since the ex- (?) and up-and-coming (??) majorities each have 100 seats. The campaign was a sleaze low-point in Czech pol life: accusations have flown of bribery, police schemes, and marriages for money, well, it’s been “Dallas” without the blow-drys.
Eventually, they end up with:
- on the left, the outcoming Social-Democrats and the unreformed, relooked only Communists (cf. the “Time of Cherries” logotype, evocative of the former French secular-socialist MDC as well as of Luxemburg’s own communists), with whom the CSSD dreamt to ally. The Communists’ position has floundered, whereas they had hoped for abstention so as to confirm their strength — main parties have been listened to in their call to vote.
- on the right, President Klaus’s conservatives of ODS (in the logo, here and again the influence of CDU and the love of right-wing parties for flying birds), the alliance of pro-Europe, gay-friendly liberals of Unie and Christian-liberals of KDU/CSL, as well as the Greens, who make a worse-as-hoped for entrance in the House, and who’d have loved to be the back-up force.
