Tout est connu de l’histoire politique r\u00e9cente de Paris, qui se lit comme le m\u00e9morial du chiraquisme, au confluent du gaullisme pur et dur (B\u00e9nouville, Jean de Gaulle), de la mafia corse (Tib\u00e9ri, Dominati, Cabana) et de l’hardi attrape-tout (du lib\u00e9ralisme antifiscal de Beno\u00eete Taffin, Chinaud, Taittinger et Goasguen \u00e0 \u00abl’humanisme\u00bb de Devaquet et peut-\u00eatre Borloo), en passant par les amis \u00e0 caser (Balladur, Jupp\u00e9, et prochainement Colonna et Lamour). Plus int\u00e9ressant, la g\u00e9opolitique est-ouest si caract\u00e9ristique, un temps gomm\u00e9e par les \u00abgrands chelems\u00bb (et le bourrage d’urnes) de la droite, remonte au moins \u00e0 la Commune. Elle est l’opposition ancestrale du Paris ouvrier et immigr\u00e9, et du Paris bourgeois, plus le quartier latin. Thiers est \u00e0 l’ouest, le mur des F\u00e9d\u00e9r\u00e9s est \u00e0 l’est. <\/p>\n
A gauche, on sait l’histoire de la \u00abbande\u00bb du 18e (Jospin, Vaillant, Delano\u00eb et Estier, arch\u00e9type de l’\u00e9l\u00e9phant, longtemps chef du groupe socialiste au S\u00e9nat), on peut voir d’autres importants apparatchiks (Bloche, Le Guen, Cambad\u00e9lis) choisir la commodit\u00e9 d’une implantation en ville. Paris est aussi, aujourd’hui, un point de force des Verts.

All is known of the recent political history of Paris, to be read as a memorial of Chiracism, i.e, at the meeting point of died-in Gaullism (B\u00e9nouville, Jean de Gaulle), of Corsican maffia (Tib\u00e9ri, Dominati, Cabana), and of brazen catch-all (from Beno\u00eete Taffin, Chinaud, Taittinger and Goasguen’s anti-tax hardcore liberalism, to Devaquet and maybe Borloo’s \u00ab\u00a0humanism\u00a0\u00bb), via friends to host (Balladur, Jupp\u00e9, and soon Colonna and Lamour). More interesting is the charasterical east\/west geopolitics. Though it was concealed for a while by the right’s \u00ab\u00a0Great Chelems\u00a0\u00bb (and ballot-box stuffing), it may be at least as old as the Commune. It is the ancient opposition of working, immigrant Paris; and the bourgeois Paris plus Latine Quarter. Thiers is West, the Federates’ Wall is East. <\/p>\n
On the left, we know the history of the 18th District’s \u00ab\u00a0Gang\u00a0\u00bb (Jospin, Vaillant, Delano\u00eb and Estier, the archetype of the \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9l\u00e9phant\u00a0\u00bb, a longtime boss of the Socialists’ Senate fraction), and can also see important apparatchiks (Bloche, Le Guen, Cambad\u00e9lis) choose the ease of a constituency downtown.
