Au sud \u00e0 l’inverse, on peut distinguer des traditions de droite sp\u00e9cifiques, dans un pays qui est celui des Bougnats vou\u00e9s \u00e0 l’exil. Au lib\u00e9ralisme chr\u00e9tien notabiliaire d’Yssingeaux (le fief historique de Barrot) r\u00e9pondent ceux qu’on a appel\u00e9 \u00ables leaders proches\u00bb dans la r\u00e9gion de Saint-Flour (r\u00e9gion des \u00abm\u00e9nages multiples\u00bb) — mais Aurillac et le Puy ont une tradition rad-soc. Le Puy-de-D\u00f4me est, comme on dit, une terre de contraste, avec des fiefs de gauche (Clermont et l’usine Michelin, Thiers et la manufacture, Ambert) et de droite (Chamali\u00e8res). <\/p>\n
Hortefeux, le bras-droit de Sarkozy (on a le bras droit qu’on peut) tente, pour l’instant sans grand succ\u00e8s (n’est pas Giscard qui veut) de s’implanter localement. La r\u00e9gion de Vulcania est, en effet, aussi celle de dinosaures, comme Barrot, VGE (\u00e9lu depuis 1956 dans la circonscription dite \u00abClermont-montagne\u00bb qu’occupait d\u00e9j\u00e0 son grand’p\u00e8re Jacques Bardoux et son arri\u00e8re grand’p\u00e8re Ag\u00e9nor) et Georges Pompidou. Jeu: un de ces trois historiques de l’\u00e9tape est mort, sauras-tu le reconna\u00eetre?

\nIt’s Thursday, it’s chart-pie day. In pol literature, Auvergne is to the analysis of familial structures what Pays de la Loire are to geological politics. One has pointed, thus, to the erosion of \u00ab\u00a0communautarian\u00a0\u00bb families (a family life and farm exploitation on the scale of extended families) in the north of the region (the d\u00e9partement of Allier) and the strength of the Communist Party. The Party would have worked like a true substitute of communautarian networking. Allier is, besides, right in the middle of the larger central left-wing area, going from Corr\u00e8ze to Ni\u00e8vre to Cher. <\/p>\n
In the south, conversely, you can well distinguish between different right-wing traditions, in the land of \u00ab\u00a0Bougnats\u00a0\u00bb bound for rural exode. There is the Christian liberal notability of Yssingeaux (historical stronghold of Jacques Barrot). You also have a \u00ab\u00a0close leader\u00a0\u00bb tradition around Saint-Flour (the region of \u00ab\u00a0multiple-couple families\u00a0\u00bb) — but Aurillac and Le Puy have a Radical-Socialist tradition. As they say, Puy-de-D\u00f4me is a contrasted land, with left-wing (Clermont with the Michelin factory, Thiers and its manufacture, Ambert) and right-wing fortresses (Chamali\u00e8res). <\/p>\n
Hortefeux, the right hand of Sarkozy (you have the right hand you’re able to) has attempted, without much success (one doesn’t get easily on the level of Giscard), to implant locally. Indeed, Vulcania region is that of political dinosaures: Barrot, VGE (elected since 1956 in the constituency of his grandfather Jacques Bardoux and great-grandfather Ag\u00e9nor: \u00ab\u00a0Clermont mountain-side\u00a0\u00bb) and Georges Pompidou.
